David Browne is a common author for Rolling Stone Magazine. Brown focuses mainly on explaining the importance of art and music to youth and the upbringing of our future. He speaks about how specific music genres, groups, and other modern social practices and traditions influence how children grow, personality, socially, and educationally. The significance to his articles is that he typically counterarguments popular belief to the effect of certain musical and pop culture influences. Organization was stagnant through out all articles, all very similar topics, all written with similar, simple diction, which is most likely used to appeal more so to the intended audience of preteens to young adults. The overall purpose for a large majority of Browne's articles, are to express the masses per say. The society we live in today is very dependent on social aspects and pop culture surrounding us. Full of protest and occasional violence, but Browne argues that the youth truly can learn from these things, despite what the masses thinks.
